SWEET BRIAR, Va--- R-MC swept Sweet Briar, 27-1 and 26-3 Wednesday evening.  The Yellow Jackets improved to 20-8 overall, 6-2 in the ODAC while the Vixens fell to 0-14 on the season.

Randolph-Macon has now won 20 or more games in five of the last six seasons.

The Yellow Jackets used a 13 run third inning in game one to cruise to the win.  Laura Bauer led R-MC at the plate, going 5-for-6 with two homeruns, a career-high seven RBI and five runs scored.  Amanda Sopko finished 4-for-5 with her first career homerun, five runs, and three RBI.  Lacey Berry stayed hot at the plate with two hits and three RBI. 

Kelly Beard improved to 5-2  in the circle for the Jackets, pitching three innings of scoreless ball.  Carly Alford relieved her in the final two innings, allowing just one run.  Christen Campbell took the loss for the Vixens.

In game two, R-MC scored 14 runs in the first inning and never looked back.  Sharese Jarvis led the Jackets at the dish, going 3-for-5 with a homerun, four RBI and three runs.  After going deep twice on the day, she now leads the ODAC with nine homeruns.  Michalann Camp and Alford each belted their first homeruns of the season.  Camp finished with a team-high five RBI on the day.  Beard and Berry each chipped in three RBI in the victory.

Kristen Dize earned the win in the circle for R-MC, improving to 4-3 on the year.  Jasmine Cousins pitched an inning in relief in the win. 

The Yellow Jackets are back on the field Thursday, April 14^th when they travel to Randolph College in a doubleheader that was rescheduled from March 17^th.  Game-time is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.
