Box Score ASHLAND, VA -- Nine different Yellow Jackets scored as Randolph-Macon topped Randolph 17-6 in ODAC Men's Lacrosse action Saturday afternoon in Ashland.
Brett Austin and Jake Leddy each had three goals, while Justin Butler, Tyler Midwinter, Nolan Clark and Michael McBournie each had two scores in the win. Austin and Midwinter each dished out three assists on the day as well.
A Colton Wood goal put Randolph up 1-0 with 11:22 to go in the first quarter.
A Midwinter goal with 7:34 to play in the opening quarter tied the game and was the first of eight unanswered goals by R-MC as they took an 8-1 advantage on a Butler goal with just under three minutes to play in the first-half.
R-MC took a 8-2 lead into the intermission and closed the game out, scoring six goals in the first 4:10 of the third quarter, upping their lead to 14-3 on a man-up strike from Patrick Egan.
Randolph-Macon held a 37-18 advantage in shots and a 35-32 edge in groundballs, including a game-high eight from Sherif Dorghoud .
Jason Crawford played close to 36 minutes in net making two saves, before giving way to Jordan Devito who made three stops.
John Croney had two goals on the day for Randolph, while Kevin McCracken made nine stops in the cage for the WildCats.
Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Mary Washington at 4:00 p.m.
