Box Score LYNCHBURG, VA – The Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse team saw its season come to a close on Wednesday evening as the Hornets of Lynchburg College knocked off the Yellow Jackets 16-10 in the quarterfinals of the 2011 ODAC Tournament.
R-MC finishes its season with an 8-7 record. The eight wins for the Jackets is the most for the program since the 1999 season.
Patrick Egan and Tyler Midwinter each had a pair of goals to lead R-MC, while Midwinter and Jason Andrews each dished out two assists. Ryan Reechia made 12 saves in net for Randolph-Macon on the defensive side and grabbed eight ground balls as well.
Lynchburg got six goals from Derek Sweet and a hat trick from Chris Eggling, while Franc Cook made eight saves and Jeff Schwartz won 13-of-16 face offs for LC. The Hornets advance to the ODAC semifinals where it will travel to Washington and Lee Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. game with the Generals.
