Randolph-Macon now enters the 2011 ODAC Baseball Tournament as the No. 4 seed where they will face Washington and Lee Wednesday, April 20 at 7:00.

James Bierlein earned the game one win for R-MC after allowing one earned run and striking out three over three innings of relief. Dale Langford tossed a hitless tenth inning to pick up the save. Starting pitcher Jamie Hendrick gave up just two earned over six innings.

Kevin Soltis is stuck with the game two loss after allowing four earned over two and third innings of relief.

Beau Flinchum paced the Tigers at the dish going 5-for-9 with a double and five RBI for the doubleheader. Zach Harrelson finished 5-for-10 at the plate and drove in two runs. Chris Martin led the way in game two going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI.

Luke Rabiej takes the game one loss after allowing one earned run in two innings on the mound. Kevin Grantier gave up just two earned runs on six hits while striking out three over seven innings of relief for the game two win.

Randolph-Macon rallied with two outs in the third inning of game one to take a 3-0 lead. Weymouth singled home Michael Helbig before Walton belted a two run double to cap the inning.

Hampden-Sydney responded in the bottom half when Jordan Wind led off with a double and then scored on a Herbie Williams single. Justin Hebert stepped to the plate two batters later and delivered a sacrifice fly to pull the Tigers within one at 3-2.

H-SC tied the score in the fourth on an R-MC error but the Jackets retook the lead in the seventh on a Walton RBI single.

A Williams' RBI single in the eighth knotted the score at 4-4 and after a scoreless ninth the two teams headed to extra innings.

Randolph-Macon struck with a three run rally in the top of the tenth sparked by a Jackson double that scored Jay Lichter. RBI singles from Jordan and Peter Culver stretched the R-MC advantage to 7-4.

Langford then came on to pitch for the Yellow Jackets in the bottom of the tenth and recorded a strikeout before inducing a groundball for a game ending double play.

In the late game, Jordan led off with a triple and then scored two batters later on a Weymouth sacrifice fly to give R-MC an early 1-0 edge.

The Yellow Jackets tacked on four more runs in the second, all coming with two outs to stretch the advantage to 5-0. Jackson and Andrew Cheatham singled to set up Bierlein who plated Jackson with a single of his own. A base hit from Jordan loaded the bases for Culver who blasted a double to bring home all three runners.

Wind put the Tigers on the board in the bottom of the second with a sacrifice fly before a Justin Hebert RBI single later in the inning cut the R-MC lead to 5-2.

Both teams plated a run each in the third and fourth innings before a leadoff homerun from Jackson in the fifth stretched the Jackets edge to 8-4.

Hampden-Sydney knotted the score at 8-8 in the sixth on RBI doubles from Hebert, Erick Hermann and Flinchum along with a run scoring single off the bat of Hunter Lewis.

The Tigers pushed across two runs in the seventh and two more in the eight on the way to a 12-8 win and a split of the ODAC doubleheader.
