Box Score WINCHESTER, VA – The Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse team improved to 4-1 on the season with a 7-3 victory over Shenandoah University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets' Tim Rowe and Jake Leddy each had two goals in the win, while Tyler Midwinter had one goal and added an assist for R-MC. Ryan Reechia made his first collegiate start in the cage for R-MC, stopping 11 shots on the afternoon.
Taylor Wicke fed Leddy for the first score of the game just over seven minutes into the first quarter. The scored stayed 1-0 until the 14:31 mark of the second stanza, when Brian Rowe took a pass from Midwinter to double the R-MC advantage.
Tim Rowe then struck for his two tallies of the game, sending the Jackets to the intermission with a 4-0 lead after he scored with just 32 seconds left in the opening half.
SU's (0-4)PJ Cooper opened up the second half scoring, getting the Hornets on the board with 8:31 to play in the third quarter and making the score 4-1.
Wicke pushed the R-MC advantage to 5-1 with a score with 34 seconds to go in the third, before Midwinter tallied a man up goal 18 seconds into the fourth quarter to extend the Jackets lead to 6-1.
Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts King's College at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
