Michael Helbig paced the Yellow Jackets at the plate going 3-for-4 with three RBI and a walk. Current ODAC Baseball Player of the Week Jordan Walton continued his doubles streak to six games after a 2-for-4 day at the dish with a homerun, a double and three RBI. Steve Tretter led York at the dish with a 2-for-2 day. Andy Rosenzweig started on the bump for the Spartans and gave up two earned runs in one inning.

Walton stepped to the plate with two on in the top of the first and belted a three run homerun over the wall in right. Greg Mitro then reached on an error before singles from Jay Lichter and Andrew Cheatham loaded the bases for Helbig who singled home Mitro and Lichter to give R-MC a 5-0 lead.

Mitro sacrificed home Culver in the second to spark a four run Randolph-Macon rally. RBI singles from Lichter, Cheatham and Helbig extended the Yellow Jacket lead to 9-0.

R-MC pushed across another run in the third and two in fourth on a Culver sacrifice fly and a Brian Jordan RBI double to make the score 12-0.

The Spartans scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh but the Yellow Jackets limited the damage and claimed a 12-2 victory.
