Box Score Molly Brown and Lindsay Sharman both scored a game high 17 points as Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball downed Emory and Henry 79-55 in Emory Saturday. R-MC has now won 12 consecutive games and its last 15 ODAC contests.
The Yellow Jackets placed four players in double figure scoring led by Brown and Sharman who both had 17. Sharman also pulled in 10 boards. Taylor Wieczorek finished with her sixth straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds while her classmate Maggie Roy chipped in with 16 points and four steals.
Jalan McPherson led the Wasps' offense with 16 points while Ashlyn Baird chipped in with 15.
Emory and Henry took their largest lead of the game at 17-11 nine minutes into the first half on a three pointer from Christina Howard.
Randolph-Macon chipped away at the lead and tied the game at 20-20 with 5:24 left in the first on two made foul shots by Jillian Asay after a Roy trifecta. Baird put the Wasps back up by three on the next possession after dropping in a layup and converting the foul shot.
Four straight points from Sharman put R-MC up one before Taylor Wieczorek and Jennifer O'Briant both knocked down jumpers to give the Jackets a 35-29 edge at intermission.
Randolph-Macon carried their momentum into the second half with an 18-4 opening run that was capped by a Wieczorek jumper in the paint to put R-MC up 49-33 with 15:24 left on the clock.
The Yellow Jackets led by as many as 25 in the second half before claiming their 12th consecutive win 79-55.
R-MC shot 36.8% from the field and held a 57-30 advantage on the glass. E&H was held to just nine second half field goals and shot 32.1% from the field.
Randolph-Macon returns to action Tuesday, February 8th when they travel to defending ODAC champion Washington and Lee for a 7:00 game.
