Box Score GREENSBORO, NC –
Tyler Midwinter and Jake Leddy combined for 14 points as
Randolph-Macon opened ODAC play with an 18-6 victory over Guilford
on Saturday afternoon.
R-MC (3-2
/ 1-0 ODAC) got five goals and three assists from Midwinter, while
Leddy registered four goals and two helpers in the win for the
Jackets. Taylor Wicke also added a hat trick and Josh Merwin
had a pair of strikes as well.
Randolph-Macon outshot
Guilford (0-8 / 0-1 ODAC) 47-30, prevailed in the ground ball
battle 41-32, won 17-of-28 faceoffs, while Adam Liberto and
Jason Crawford combined to make 13 saves in the cage for
R-MC.
The Yellow Jackets got goals from Billy
Rowe, Kevin Patton and Leddy to take an early 3-0 lead before Chris
Sisk got GC on the board with a goal at the 6:24 mark of the first
quarter to cut the R-MC advantage to 3-1.
R-MC then reeled off six straight goals
taking a 9-1 edge when Midwinter set up Leddy for a tally with 8:04
to play in the first half.

Nash goal with 48 seconds left in the half sent the teams to the
intermission with R-MC up 9-2. The Jackets scored the first
four goals of the third quarter, pushing it lead to 13-2 when Leddy
scored with 3:41 left in the quarter.
Midwinter
added an unassisted goal in the final minute of the third to give
R-MC a 14-3 advantage and the Jackets would tally four goals in the
final quarter to account for the final score.
R-MC
returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Williams at 3:00 p.m. in
Ashland.
