Box Score Wisconsin-Eau Claire used 47.1% shooting including a 10-for-20 mark in the second half to get past Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball (5-3 / 3-1 ODAC) 73-46 in the first day of the Daytona Shootout Sunday night.
Senior guard Jennifer O'Briant led the Yellow Jackets offensively going 3-for-5 for beyond the arc for nine points. Maggie Roy chipped in with eight points and three steals while freshman Lindsey Sharman pulled in a team high six rebounds to go with her four points.
The Blugolds' Hannah Mesick finished with a game high 29 points and 12 rebounds on 12-of-18 shooting in the win. Sarah Bingea and Nicole Christianson joined Mesick in double figures with 14 and 10 respectively.
Wisconsin Eau-Claire held a 51-27 rebounding edge and shot 47.1% from the field to R-MC's 22.4%.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Monday, December 20th, when they face St. Vincent College at 9:00 p.m. on day two of the Daytona Shootout.
