#6 WLU Defeats R-MC 18-5 in ODAC Men's Lacrosse

LEXINGTON, Va. - Randolph-Macon dropped an Old Dominion
Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's lacrosse contest to sixth-ranked
Washington & Lee University 18-5 on Saturday. WLU's Seth
Fishman led all players with seven goals, while R-MC's Tyler
Midwinter netted two goals.
The Generals (11-1, 3-0 ODAC) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the
opening six minutes of the game.
The Yellow Jackets (5-6, 0-4 ODAC) got on the board at the 6:36
mark of the first quarter as freshman attackman Jake Leddy scored
off a feed from freshman midfielder Patrick Egan. However, W&L
scored the game's next four goals, including a trio from Fishman,
to push out to an 8-1 lead with 5:06 left in the first half and
cruised to the 13-goal final.
Fishman's career day augmented by two goals and two assists from
sophomore attackman Spence Daw and two goals and one assist by
sophomore midfielder Drew Koeneman. Junior attackman Will Keigler
chipped in one goal and two assists. Senior Connor Locke played the
opening 45 minutes in goal and made eight saves.
In addition to Midwinter's two goals, Egan and Leddy also
registered one goal and one assist apiece. Sophomore Adam Liberto
started and was tagged with the loss after allowing three goals.
Freshman Jason Crawford played 38:45 and made seven saves, while
sophomore Ray Wodarski saw action for 18:22 and tallied two saves.
R-MC hosts Guilford on Wednesday in the Yellow Jackets' final
home game of the regular season. Game time is slated for 4 pm.
