ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer hosted Roanoke for an afternoon contest where the Yellow Jackets fell 3-2 after two late second-half goals.

How it Happened
- In the first 20 minutes of the match, Roanoke capitalized on a close-range shot from Lauren Fisher to take a 1-0 advantage.
- The Yellow Jackets tightened up defensively, which led to a free kick five minutes later. Taylor Gim (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep), connected with Emma Hook (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) on the backside of the net. Hook sent a header on frame and leveled the match 1-1.
- In the final 15 minutes of the first half, the Maroons threatened to take the lead once more with an opportunity in the box but Shaila Elahi (Germantown, Md./Northwest) prevented the chance and the teams took a 1-1 score into the break.
- Coming out of the break, the Lemon and Black outshot Roanoke four-to-one during the first 12 minutes of the second half.
- In the 59th minute, RMC earned a foul in the box, setting up a penalty kick. Noel Moxey (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) took the penalty and slotted the ball past the Maroons' keeper Grace Suchy, taking a 2-1 lead in the match.
- Roanoke continued to apply the pressure for the remainder of the match but RMC held defensively. The Maroons broke through in the 85th minute on a deep strike by Lila Moshfegh, knotting the match up at 2-2.
- In the 88th minute, Fisher sent a throw-in from the right side of the field for the Maroons, which bounced through the Lemon and Black backline and connected with Rebecca Carr in front of the net. She sent a screamer into the goal, taking a 3-2 advantage in the final minutes of the match.

- Hook's goal was the first goal of her collegiate career.
- Moxey recorded the Yellow Jackets' first penalty kick goal of the season.
- Roanoke outshot RMC 16-to-12 overall and seven-to-four in shots on frame.
