LEXINGTON, Va. - Women's Lacrosse traveled to Lexington, Virginia, on Sunday afternoon for their 10th ODAC Championship appearance in program history. The Yellow Jackets battled the Generals all the way until the final whistle but fell in the final minutes of the game 8-6.

How it Happened
- 50 seconds into the start of the game, Grace Kim opened the scoring for a 1-0 Generals lead. Washington and Lee jumped out to a 3-0 lead after netting a free-position shot and a power-play goal. With 35 seconds left in the first quarter of play, Reese Toth (Edgewater, Md./South River) fed Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) to get the Yellow Jackets on the board.
- Gillian Gladden (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) made an outstanding save in the opening 40 seconds of the quarter to keep the deficit at two. At the 10:39 mark, Hannah Van Son extended the WLU lead back to three goals. One minute later, Elaina Creekmore (Pasadena, Md./Old Mill) threaded a pass to sophomore Campbell Conway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's), who rifled a shot into the net to make the score 4-2 in favor of the Generals. Three minutes later, the Lemon and Black struck again on a free-position shot from Caty Benton (Richmond, Va./Mills E. Godwin) to put RMC within one. At the 4:20 mark, the Yellow Jackets capped off the three-goal run on a shot from Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forest School), assisted by McNeally, to level the game at 4-4. Gladden made two massive saves to close out the first half with the score knotted up at 4.
- The second half became a defensive battle, with each team anchoring down and holding the other to only one goal in the third quarter. The Generals found the back of the net at the 9:01 mark and the Yellow Jackets answered with Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md/Notre Dame Prep), getting on the stat sheet to tie the game up once again. One minute later, Fowler had an opportunity to break the tie but her shot rang off the post. Gladden and the Generals' keeper, Iman Haddad, made outstanding saves, anchoring their respective teams' defense to close out the third frame of play.
- The goalies continued to define the game at the start of the fourth quarter. With 10:06 on the clock, the Generals grabbed the lead once again on a free-position shot from Kim. Two minutes later, RMC responded with an unassisted goal from McNeally after slicing her way through the WLU defense. Both teams continued to trade possessions thanks to excellent defense. At the 4:38 mark, the Generals cashed in on another free-position shot, pushing the score to 7-6. Three minutes later, WLU added another goal to grab a two-goal lead. The Generals won the ensuing draw and controlled the ball until the final horn, earning an 8-6 win in the title game.

- McNeally led the Yellow Jackets offensively with three points on two goals and one assist.
- Fowler, Conway, Benton and Moxham each recorded one goal in the contest.
- Toth and Creekmore tallied two assists in the contest.
- The Generals outshot the Yellow Jackets 24-17 overall and held a slight edge in shots on goal, 11 to 10.

- In the ground ball department, the Yellow Jackets had a slight advantage, scooping up 13 ground balls to the Generals' 12.
- Lydia Lesnevich (Catonsville, Md./Towson) and Moxham each caused one turnover.
- Gladden played the full 60 minutes, making 10 saves on 24 shots faced.
- WLU went 16-16 on the clear for a perfect clearing percentage. RMC completed 14-20 clears for a clearing percentage of .700.
- On the draw, both teams won eight of the 16 total draws during the game.
For the Record
- Lilly Fowler, Maddy Arca (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock), Emma Moxham and Cami McNeally were named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team for 2026.
- Fowler capped off her career, finishing third all-time in career points (301), third all-time for career assists (129), third all-time for single season points (101), passing Kelly Egan (2011) and seventh all-time for single season assists (43).
- Moxham finishes her career tied for third all-time in career draw controls (200).
- Pierce caps off her sophomore campaign with 92 draw controls this season, recording the third most in a single season in program history. In her career, she has 172 draw controls, sitting one draw control outside the top five.
