ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse used a high-power offense in a midweek showdown with Randolph on Wednesday afternoon. The contest saw 19 different Yellow Jackets find the back of the net.

How it Happened
- Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) wasted no time getting the scoring started on an unassisted goal a little over a minute into the game. Three minutes later, Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) threaded a pass to Andrew Bergesen (Olney, Md./Sherwood), who buried the ball for a 2-0 lead. At the 6:48 mark, the Yellow Jackets rattled off back-to-back goals on shots from Peyton Rodriguez (Santa Barbara, Calif./Bishop Garcia Diego) and Owen King (Fallston, Md./Fallston), assisted by Sinsebox. Chap Hale (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) sent a feed to Jake Dudley (Locust Grove, Va./Woodberry Forest) to extend the lead to five. One minute later, Sinsebox connected with Sobel for the sixth goal of the quarter. The Lemon and Black closed out the quarter with a 6-0 lead.
- Dudley added his second goal, assisted by Charlie Hilgartner (Severna Park, Md./Severn), two minutes into the second frame. Shortly after, Charlie Violette (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Academy) sent a pass to Sobel for the eighth goal of the afternoon. At the 9:09 mark, Cooper Callan got the WildCats on the board, making the score 8-1. The Yellow Jackets recorded three goals in two minutes, starting at 7:15 on the clock. Grant Johns (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock), Walker Wilkinson (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) and Sinsebox each found the back of the net, with Sobel earning an assist on Wilkinson's goal. At the 3:20 mark of the second quarter, The Lemon and Black added three more goals to extend their lead to 14-1. Jacob MacMillan (Fallston, Md./Fallston) recorded a goal in the run and an assist. JJ Phillips (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) added his first goal of the afternoon and Wilkinson added his second during the run. RMC sent a barrage of shots on cage in the final minute but nothing found the back of the net and they took a 14-1 lead into the break.
- 55 seconds into the start of the second half, Matthew Sutty (Hockessin, Del./Salesianum) recorded an unassisted goal for the Yellow Jackets' 15th goal. Over the next four minutes, Johns, Matthew Sutty and Andrew Ross (Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha) each found the back of the net to push the score to 18-1. At the 9:13 mark, Tyler Dyson (Culpeper, Va./Liberty) buried an unassisted goal of his own. One minute later, Quinn Jenkins (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) found a wide-open Fitz Stanley (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) to cash in the 20th goal of the night. 30 seconds later, the Yellow Jackets added goal number 21 from Luke Colwell (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic), assisted by Nick Kline (Chester, Md./Kent Island). At the 5:46 mark, Thomas Greer (Roanoke, Va./North Cross) caught a pass from Graeme Stephenson (Monkton, Md./Boys Latin) and rifled a shot into the net to push the score to 22-1. With two minutes left in the third quarter, The Lemon and Black added a trio of goals. Matthew Sutty accounted for two and Macmillan the other. Stanley and Jackson Hedrick (Reisterstown, Md./St. Paul's) earned assists on two of the goals.
- At the start of the final frame, Beaux Wojciechowski (Colorado Springs, Colo./Vista Ridge) sent a feed to Ross to open the fourth quarter, scoring four minutes into the period. At the 4:40 Mark, Hedrick added his second goal of the game, slicing through the defense to net the Yellow Jackets' 27th goal. One minute later, Ian Swartzendruber (Fallston, Md./Fallston) found the back of the net, adding his name to the score sheet. The Lemon and Black added one final goal from Peyton Lloyd (Mechanicsville, Va/Atlee), assisted by Macmillian, with less than 30 seconds on the clock, to grab a 29-1 victory over the WildCats.
Inside the Numbers
- Randolph-Macon outshot Randolph 82-5 overall and 54-to-4 in shots on goal.
- Macmillan, Sinsebox and Sobel each tied for a team high four points on two goals and two assists. Matthew Sutty also tallied four points on four goals.
- Violette and Allen led the defense with four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Violette recorded an assist to pair with his stat line.
- Wilkinson, Johns, Dudley and Ross all contributed two goals for two points overall in the contest.
- Ethan McCrea (Oak Hill, Va./South Lakes) led the Yellow Jackets at the faceoff x, going 10-10 and scooping up eight ground balls. Carson Mingo (Cambridge, Md./Gilman) and Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) both went 8-8 at the X and picked up five ground balls.
- In transition, the Yellow Jackets held the advantage, going 17-18 (94.4%) on the clear while the WildCats went 14-27 (51.8%).
- In the ground ball column, RMC scooped up 68 while RC picked up 18.
- All four goalies made an appearance for the Yellow Jackets, making three saves and only allowing one goal.
