Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) has been named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week. Allen was named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week for the sixth time in his career and the third time this season.
The Yellow Jackets had a midweek bout against Bridgewater, winning 15-7 and finished off the week on Friday when they hosted Averett for the final game of the Regular season, winning 29-4.
Allen had another incredible defensive week for the Lemon and Black. He totaled 13 ground balls and five caused turnovers over the span of two games. Allen started the two-game week against Bridgewater, recording five ground balls and causing three turnovers in the game. He capped off the week on Friday, where he scooped up eight ground balls and caused two turnovers. This season, Allen has amassed 82 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers, setting new season highs in both categories.
RMC begins postseason play Monday, April 27 at 5:00 p.m. when they take on fourth seeded Hampden-Sydney in the Quarterfinal of the ODAC Tournament.
