BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Men's lax took a trip to Bridgewater, Virginia, on Wednesday afternoon for their second-to-last regular-season game. The defense shut out the Eagles in the third quarter while scoring three goals of their own.

How it Happened
- Bridgewater got on the board first in the first two minutes of the game. The Eagles extended their lead at the 10:04 mark. Off the faceoff, Colt Short split the RMC defense and extended the BC lead to three goals. The Yellow Jacket shut down the Eagles' three-goal run during the clear when Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) connected with Brodie Kent (Coquitlam, Canada/Centennial) to get on the board. At the 6:24 mark, Peyton Rodriguez (Santa Barbara, Calif./Bishop Diego Garcia) added an unassisted goal to cut the deficit to one. 39 seconds later, BC found the back of the net once again to make the score 2-4. The Yellow Jackets closed out the first quarter with a pair of goals, with Sinsebox and Rodriguez recording their second of the day.
- Bridgewater continued to maintain the lead with a goal 45 seconds into the start of the second quarter, pushing the score to 4-5. At the 10:29 mark, Ian Swartzendruber (Fallston, Md./Fallston) cashed in on the man-up opportunity to level the game at five. 20 seconds later, Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) threaded a pass to Sinsebox to grab RMC's first lead of the game. Sinsebox added the next two goals to extend the lead to three goals. The Yellow Jackets' defense anchored down in the second quarter, causing a turnover and holding the Eagles to just two shots, maintaining the 8-5 lead heading into the break.
- RMC came out of the break continuing the scoring from the first half, adding another man-up goal less than a minute into the start of the second half. At the 8:36 mark, Davis Kimminau (Easton, Md./Saint Peter's & Paul) threaded a pass to Charlie Hilgartner (Severna Park, Md./Severn) for the 10th RMC goal of the afternoon. Two minutes later, Hilgartner assisted Sobel, pushing the score to 11-5. The Yellow Jackets continued to have chances to add to the lead but the Eagles' defense tightened up and the Lemon and Black took the 11-5 lead into the final frame of play.
- Both teams' defenses continued to play well and neither team recorded a goal until the 8:53 mark. Sinsebox found the back of the net for a fifth time in the contest. 40 seconds later, Hilgartner and Sobel combined for another goal to extend the lead to 13-5. At 5:01 on the clock, the Eagles got back on the board once again on a goal from Luke Wendler. Two minutes later, JJ Phillips (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) notched the 14th goal of the afternoon for the Yellow Jackets. Senior Matt Carter (Glen Allen, Va./Deeprun) rifled a shot into the back of the net after an RMC timeout to push the score to 15-6. One minute later, BC responded with the final goal of the game when Wendler added the seventh goal for the Eagles. With 36 seconds left in the game, the Yellow Jackets' defense blocked a shot and cleared the ball to close out the game with a 15-7 win.

- Sinsebox led the Yellow Jackets' offense with a six-point performance, recording five goals on 10 shots and assisting a goal.
- Sobel and Hilgartner each recorded four points in today's contest. Sobel recorded three goals and one assist, while Hilgartner recorded one goal and three assists.

- Sinsebox now sits seventh for career goals and is only three goals behind Avery Tankersley (2022-25) with 110 in his career.
- Sobel has tied Rob Helsley (1987) for assists in a single season, recording 28 with one more game left to play. He is also tied with Billy Rowe (2007-10) with 46 assists in his career.
