How It Happened in Game 1:
- In the top off the first, Jack Bowles (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) drove a single to right on a full count, giving RMC its first baserunner. After Zach Wernoski (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) moved him to second on a fielder's choice, Carter Schmitt (Glen Allen, Va./St. Christopher's) ripped a single to move Bowles over to third. Zach Stolze (Towson, Md./Loyola Blakefield) took advantage of the early opportunity, as he put down a fielder's choice with two strikes to push Bowles across the plate for a quick 1-0 lead. The offense restarted with Jacob Hauk (Ellicott City, Md./Loyola Blakefield), as he drew a walk and then scampered to second on a wild pitch. Jon Quici (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) followed with a walk of his own to load the bases for the Lemon and Black. Logan Duff (Forest, Va./Liberty Christian) put together a good at-bat before lacing a single up the middle, driving both Hauk and Wernoski in for a 3-0 lead after one.
- After seven innings of scoreless baseball, Randolph-Macon tacked on another in the top of the ninth. CJ Chatterton (Rockville, Md./Georgetown Prep) started the inning with a leadoff double and was then pushed to third after Mason Bodnar (Arlington, Va./St. John's Prep) moved him over. With Chatterton now just 90 feet away, another single from Bowles drove the shortstop home for a 4-1 Randolph-Macon lead.
- In a last chance effort, Shenandoah used a single followed by a double to drive its first and only run across the plate in the bottom of the ninth.

Of the nine runs scored in the inning, only three were earned for the Shenandoah Hornets.
- In an immediate response, Quici was drilled by a pitch to put a man on first for the Lemon and Black. He then took advantage of a failed pickoff attempt, as the center fielder reached second. James Baffone (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) then scooted Quici to third after he reached base on a fielder's choice.
