ARLINGTON, Va.- In a mid-week showdown with the Marymount University Saints, the Yellow Jackets rallied in the fourth quarter, tallying two goals and shutting out MU in the fourth quarter.

How it Happened
- Two minutes into the start of the game, Marymount struck first to grab a 1-0 lead. RMC answered with a two-goal run of their own, with the goals from Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forest School), which were both assisted by Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep). At the 5:26 mark, the Saints cashed in on a man-up scenario, leveling the game at 2-2. One minute and 13 seconds later, Brooklynn Ricker (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) tallied the final goal of the first quarter, which was assisted by Campbell Conway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's), giving the Lemon and Black a 3-2 lead heading into the second quarter.
- Marymount started the second quarter with possession and tied the game at 13:52 on the clock. 41 seconds later, the Saints added another goal to take the lead for the second time in the game. At the 10-minute mark, MU extended its lead to two goals and added its fourth consecutive goal on a free-position shot with 4:52 left in the half. Exactly one minute later, Fowler tallied her first goal of the game to cut the lead to two goals. 46 seconds later, Fowler found the back of the net once again, tallying the Yellow Jackets' fifth goal of the afternoon. 10 seconds before the end of the first half, Hailey Pierce (Mechanicsville, Va./Mechanicsville) found Conway for the equalizing goal.
- For the majority of the third quarter, both teams traded possessions. At the 7:54 mark, Marymount grabbed the lead of the game once again on a goal from Tess Valentino. With 1:44 left in the third quarter, Fowler completed the hat-trick on her third unassisted goal of the afternoon, pushing the score to 7-7. The Saints added one final goal with 32 seconds left in the quarter, grabbing an 8-7 lead over the Lemon and Black heading into the final frame.
- Both defenses hunkered down in the final quarter, senior goalie Gillian Gladden (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) made key saves, keeping the Yellow Jackets within one goal. At the 2:55 mark, RMC broke through the Saints' defense when Moxham connected with freshman Jocelyn Tran (Fairfax Station, Va./South County) for her first collegiate goal. With 35 seconds left to play in regulation, Moxham took a shot that MU goalie Ava Vautour saved. Conway flew in and picked up the ground ball, then quickly shot, burying the ball in the back of the net and lifting the Lemon and Black in the lead 9-8. The Saints made advances to tie up the game, but a costly turnover down the stretch gave RMC the win.
