ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon baseball team continues to garner votes in the latest D3baseball/NCBWA poll, earning 62 total votes from Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country.
 
The Yellow Jackets were also tabbed as receiving votes in the second regular season ABCA Coaches Poll, after receiving votes in the preseason and week one.
 
This past week, RMC turned in a 2-1 record, beating Virginia Wesleyan and (RV) Mary Washington, before a close loss against #20 Christopher Newport.

Against Virginia Wesleyan, Randolph-Macon Baseball compiled a season-high 19 hits through seven innings of play, resulting in the team's second mercy rule win of the season. After the 13-3 win, the Yellow Jackets used a six-run sixth inning to beat (RV) Mary Washington, 9-2 the following day. The victory marked RMC's fourth win in a row, as well as the program's eighth win in its past 10 games.
 
This week, the Lemon and Black host #3 Lynchburg on Tuesday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m., before hosting York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 25 at the same time.
