LILBURN, Ga. – Randolph-Macon senior
McKenzie Matheny (Fairfax Station, Va./West Springfield) has been selected to play in the 2026 WBCA Division III Collegiate All-Star Game. The contest will take place on Saturday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m., at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Va.
Matheny was vital to the Yellow Jackets' success this past season. The forward was named to her second consecutive All-ODAC First Team and was recently named to the D3Hoops.com All-Region Third Team for the second time in her career.
The senior racked up career-highs in points per game (14.0) and rebounds per game (10.0), good for eighth and third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, respectively. In starting all 29 games, Matheny also compiled team-highs in field goals made (165) and free throws made (74). Her 48.5 shooting percentage slotted her at sixth in the conference and her 65.5 shooting percentage from the free throw line marked a career-high.
Matheny helped lead her team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance after not winning the ODAC regular season title or conference championship. She finished her career at Randolph-Macon with 22 double-doubles, which ranks sixth in Yellow Jackets Women's Basketball history.
The all-stars were chosen by a committee composed of head women's basketball coaches of NCAA Division III programs, all of whom are members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches.
