ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman midfielder Charlie Hilgartner (Severna Park, Md./Severn) and senior defenseman Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) have been named ODAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week. Hilgartner was named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career and Allen was named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in his career. 

The Yellow Jackets opened the 2026 season on Sunday Morning, defeating Sewanee at home, 11-8.
 
Against the Tigers, Hilgartner posted four goals and one assist, coupled with two ground balls. He also recorded a hat trick before the first half was over. Allen posted five caused turnovers, four ground balls and an assist in the win. With the five caused turnovers, Allen has surpassed 100 career caused turnovers. 

RMC continues the regular season with a neutral-site non-conference matchup against Ursinus in Baltimore, Md., on Saturday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m.
