FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released the men's lacrosse preseason coaches poll for the 2026 campaign, and RMC has been picked third, which is an improvement from last year, receiving 75 points. The Yellow Jackets are heading into the 16th season under the tenure of head coach J.B. Sheridan.

ODAC runner-up and No. 13 nationally ranked Lynchburg sits atop the poll, receiving seven of the 10 possible first-place votes and 97 total points. 2025 ODAC Champions and No. 10 nationally ranked, Washington and Lee, gathered four first-place votes and 94 points. The Yellow Jackets sit third with 75 points, with Roanoke trailing with 74. Hampden-Sydney rounds out the top five with 70 points overall. 

Shenandoah is picked sixth with 53 points, one spot ahead of Bridgewater with 44. Virginia Wesleyan (41), Guilford (25), Averett (19) and Randolph (13) conclude the final four spots in the preseason poll.

RMC opens the 2026 season on Sunday, February 8, as they host Sewanee for a non-conference matchup at 11 a.m.
