FOREST, Va. – Senior defenseman Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) has been named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week. Allen was named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week for the fifth time in his career. 

The Yellow Jackets had a midweek bout against McDaniel, winning 17-1 and finished off the week on Friday when they took a trip up I-95, earning a 12-6 victory over Mary Washington. 
 
Against the Green Terror, Allen posted one goal and one assist, coupled with five ground balls, two caused turnovers and a faceoff win. Against the Eagles, he scooped up a career single-game high of 10 ground balls. This surpassed the eight he recorded his sophomore season against Bridgewater on April 24. Allen added four caused turnovers on the afternoon. This season, he has amassed a total of 21 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers through the first four games of the season.
 
RMC continues the regular season when they head down to Newport News on Wednesday, February 25, for a matchup against the No. 3 nationally ranked Christopher Newport Captains, with the first faceoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
