- After three consecutive innings of scoreless baseball, Dickinson went up 5-0, as a result of a difficult bases-loaded fielders' choice. Connor McAuley (Haymarket, Va./Highland) was able to close out the top of the fifth after he got a batter to fan at strike three.

- In the bottom of the eighth inning, Randolph-Macon's offense got going, as Jack Bowles (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) walked and Caleb Hawton-Henley (Fairfax, Va./St. John's Prep) singled to center, before James Baffone (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) drove Bowles in with a single to left. The next at-bat, Zach Stolze (Towson, Md./Loyola Blakefield) hit a shot down the left field line, helping Hawton-Henley cross the plate for RMC's second run of the night. While Mason Bodnar (Arlington, Va./St. John's Prep) was then thrown out at second after a single up the middle, Baffone tallied the Yellow Jackets' third run of the frame on the RBI, putting RMC down 3-6.
