WINCHESTER, Va. - Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball nailed a season-high 15 triples en route to a 80-52 road victory over Shenandoah on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
- Randolph-Macon started the game on a dominant 13-0 run, lasting until the 16:28 mark of the first half. Jabril Robinson (Rockville, Md./South Kent Prep) led the way with five points, while Malcolm Hodges (Richmond, Va./Monacan) added four to the run. Dorian Davis scored the Hornets first points of the game with a jumper at the 16:05 mark of the half. James Carswell (Charlotte, N.C./Cox Mill) and Theartis Battle (Baltimore, Md./John Carroll) nailed back-to-back three balls to push the Yellow Jacket lead to 21-3 with 13:07 on the clock. Theo Antinori (Asheville, N.C./Rabun Gap) gave Randolph-Macon a 20-point lead with a three-pointer 6:39 point of the half, RMC leading 36-14. Shenandoah kept the deficit to 20-points, but a Landon Russ three ball set the halftime score at 43-24 with the Lemon and Black leading.
- In the second half, Randolph-Macon kept the pace and style of play going for the first few minutes. Robinson converted a driving lay-up with 14:15 on the clock to push the lead back to 20-points for the Lemon and Black at 53-33. That basket started a 12-0 run for the Yellow Jackets, pushing the overall lead to 30-points at 63-33 with 11:46 left in the game. Ty Showalter (Charlotte, N.C./Butler) led the run with four points, as Joe Bachman (Wilmington, N.C./Greensboro Day) and Jack Loyd (Fairfax, Va./Flint Hill) both registered three points. Davis led the Hornets to seven straight points, scoring five to cut into the RMC lead, still trailing 63-40. Randolph-Macon took a timeout and answered with a 12-3 run, led by Amr Ariekat (Ramallah, Palestine./Langley) with seven and the lead was pushed to 75-43 with 5:03 left on the clock. The game would end with a winning scoreline of 80-52 for the Yellow Jackets.
Inside the Numbers:
- Randolph-Macon shot 43.1 percent from the floor, as Shenandoah knocked down 30.2 percent of its shots.
- The Yellow Jackets outrebounded the Hornets 45-to-31 in the entire game.
- Robinson led the Lemon and Black in scoring with 16 points. The senior went 3-of-5 from behind the arc, adding three rebounds and two steals.
- Carswell tied his career high in points with nine on the night. The freshman went 3-of-5 from three point range, adding three rebounds and a steal.
- Hodges ended the game with seven points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Lemon and Black.
- Showalter recorded a career high in assists with six in the game. The sophomore also scored seven points and pulled down seven rebounds.
For the Record:
- Randolph-Macon made a season high 15 three-pointers in the game. This is also the most threes made in a game since nailing 16 against Roanoke last season.
- This is also the seventh straight season in which the Yellow Jackets have recorded 20 or more victories in a season (excluding the 2020-21 covid season).
