ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer earned its first win in ODAC play of the year with a decisive victory over Eastern Mennonite, which was highlighted by
Emma Owens (Kernersville, N.C./East Forsyth) netting the last two RMC goals and assisting one.

How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets pounced on the Royals in the 15th minute of the match. Taylor Gim (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) connected with Madison Blanchard (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) on a corner opportunity, which Blanchard finished into the bottom left of the net for a 1-0 advantage.
- RMC continued to apply pressure, creating multiple scoring opportunities through fancy passing plays, which led to Ally Quigley (Broadlands, Va./Briar Woods) and Gim recording back-to-back shots in the 24th minute.
- In the 36th and 37th minutes, the Lemon and Black kept their foot on the gas and added two more shots. Cece Beem (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) put one on frame and Makenna Burnett (Baltimore, Md./St. Timothy's) missed wide right.
- In the final minutes of the first half, the Yellow Jackets gave up one shot to the Royals and carried the 1-0 lead into the break.
- Coming out of the break, the RMC offense remained in control, adding its second goal of the contest on a finish from Gim after collecting a ball from Owens.
- The next 30 minutes, each team traded possessions and scoring opportunities. In the 71st minute, Owens added her second goal of the afternoon, assisted by Gim, lifting the Yellow Jackets ahead 3-0.
- The Lemon and Black continued to knock at the door, threatening another tally in the goal column. In the final 30 seconds of the match, Emmerson Hill (Westminster, Md./Westminster) sent a quick corner opportunity into the box. After a chaotic jumble in front of the net, Owens capped off her five-point afternoon, adding her second goal of the match.
