ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer controlled the pace of play from start to finish in this afternoon's match against Sweet Briar. The Yellow Jackets used a season-high 39 shots to propel them to a decisive victory.

How it Happened
- In the first three minutes of the match, the Yellow Jackets rattled off three quick shots. In the fourth minute, Hollis Keenan (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) sent a shot on goal, giving RMC a 1-0 lead.
- The Lemon and Black continued to apply offensive pressure, capitalizing on heavy midfield control. The Yellow Jackets added a second goal and doubled their lead in the 34th minute when Cece Beem (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) assisted Layla Dramby (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) in front of the goal.
- RMC had more chances to add to the lead but the Lemon and Black could not convert and carried the 2-0 lead into the break.
- Coming out of the break, Emma Owens (Kernersville, N.C./East Forsyth) extended the lead to 3-0 on a beautiful combination goal in the 49th minute with assists from Taylor Gim (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and Brodie Russ (Baltimore, Md./Concordia Preparatory School)
- Four minutes later, Beem added her second assist of the afternoon when she chipped the Sweet Briar keeper with a header and landed right on the foot of Gim, who sent the play home and tallied the fourth RMC goal.
- The RMC attack continued to keep their foot on the gas and apply pressure to the Sweet Briar defense, recording multiple scoring opportunities.
- In the 82nd minute, Alexis Diaz took a shot that tested the RMC keeper, Briton Warham (Mooresville, N.C./Mooresville Senior), on a shot toward the middle of the goal. Five minutes later, Reagan Patrick (Boise, Idaho/Kettle Run) took a shot from outside the box that connected with the crossbar, coming close to tallying the fifth goal of the afternoon. The Yellow Jackets rushed to capitalize on another corner opportunity as the clock wound down but could not get the corner off and closed out the 4-0 win.

- Four separate Yellow Jackets contributed to the 4-0 win. Dramby, Owens, Keenan and Gim all contributed the goals.
- Dramby's and Keenan's goals were the first of their collegiate career.
- Beem recorded two assists in the match. Gim and Russ also earned assits in the contest.
- The Lemon and Black recorded a season-high 39 shots in the win over Sweet Briar, while holding the Vixens to three. RMC outshot Sweet Briar 19-to-two in shots on frame.
