ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball starts the new year with an undefeated record and ranked #2 in the D3hoops.com Top-25 poll.
The Yellow Jackets went 5-0 since the last poll release, sweeping the competition in the Music City Classic, winning the RMC Coaches Tournament and defeating Lynchburg this past Saturday.
Randolph-Macon defeated Centre and Augsburg in Gallatin, Tennesse by a combined two game score of 169-95.
The Lemon and Black began the RMC Coaches Tournament with a 95-36 win over Misericordia, marking their largest margin of victory (59 points), since defeating Christendom 99-40 in 1989. Randolph-Macon would go on to defeat Salisbury in the championship game by a score of 91-70. The team finished the five game stretch with a conference victory over Lynchburg 85-60.
Randolph-Macon is now 11-0 on the season and has its best start since the 2020-21 (covid) season. That team finished the shortened year with an overall record of 12-0.
The team will hit the road this week, taking on Averett on Wednesday, January 7 and will finish the week at Guilford on Saturday, January 10.
