GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Randolph-Macon women's soccer traveled to Gettysburg, Pa., to take on Gettysburg College on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon opened the first half with two shots from Ariel Farmer (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill), but Gettysburg quickly countered and scored in the fourth minute to grab a 1-0 lead. The Bullets struck again just two minutes later, extending their advantage in the sixth minute. Gettysburg kept up the pressure throughout the half and carried a 2-0 lead into the break.
- The Yellow Jackets threatened early in the second half as Jackie Wenzlik (Durham, N.C./Riverside) forced a save and Farmer sent a shot just high. Briton Warham (Mooresville, N.C./Mooresville Senior) anchored the defense with several key stops, including a low save in the 55th minute.
- Ally Spangler (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt) sparked the attack with a shot over the bar in the 70th minute, while Kaylie Scherer (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park), Caroline Blanchard (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox), and Farmer each had looks as the Yellow Jackets maintained pressure. A red card on Gettysburg in the 81st minute gave Randolph-Macon a late advantage, but despite the flurry of chances, the Jackets fell 2-0.
