FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team fell in its regular season opener on the road at Mary Washington by a 5-0 decision.

How it Happened
- During the Eagle's first offensive possession, they quickly found the back of the net in the second minute of the game. Mary Washington did not let up offensively and would grab a second goal from Layla Royster in the 12th minute of the game.
- The Yellow Jackets went on to play great defense the rest of the first half, using great stands by the defensive back line. Erin Morris (Manchester, N.H. / Bishop Guertin) making a key save to end the half, UMW took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
- The Eagles kept the pressure up and doubled its lead in the 51st minute, as Royster scored her second goal of the game.
- Mary Washington added two more goals in the 62nd and 77th minute with goals by Naomi Knight and Elise McGee to take home a 5-0 win at home.
