FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released its preseason poll for the 2025 Women's Volleyball season. Fresh off a season that saw the Yellow Jackets record a 7-5 record in the ODAC, Randolph-Macon was picked fifth, receiving 83 points.
Defending ODAC champion Washington and Lee tops the poll with 11 first place votes and 121 total points. Virginia Wesleyan was picked second with 100 points, followed closely by Bridgewater, who garnered 97 points.
Coming in with a first-place vote and 90 points is Lynchburg in fourth, followed by Randolph-Macon with 83 points. Roanoke and Averett occupy the next two spots, with 75 and 52 points, respectively. Guilford is picked eighth (47), with Eastern Mennonite (43), Randolph (38), Shenandoah (35) and Hollins (11) slotted in the final four spots.
The program returns its three assist leaders from last season, in the form of senior
Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) (506), sophomore
Trinity Makley (Morrisville, N.C./Panther Creek) (244) and senior
Kaitlyn Kaplan (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) (123). Additionally, defending ODAC Rookie of the Year
Allison Lach (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) returns for her second season after recording a team-high 45 service aces in her 2024 campaign.
The Yellow Jackets open the season this Friday in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where they will play at 7:00 p.m. against Susquehanna. The season-opener is followed by matches on Saturday against Franklin and Marshall and Lancaster Bible at noon and 2:30 p.m, respectively.
