6/16/2025 12:13:00 PM

ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Volleyball has released the 2025 schedule for the 1st season under head coach Kelsey Goodman. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 12-15 campaign where they took part in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

"We're excited to officially announce our fall schedule and can't wait to compete this fall. Our team has been working hard in the offseason, and we're looking forward to testing ourselves against some tough opponents, both at home and on the road. This schedule will challenge us and help prepare us for conference play and the postseason. We're grateful for the support of our fans and can't wait to see them fill the stands this fall," said Goodman.

The Lemon and Black hit the road for the opening weekend of the regular season. Randolph-Macon will open the season in Pennsylvania where they will play Susquehanna, Lancaster Bible and Franklin and Marshall on August 29-30 at Franklin and Marshall College. The Yellow Jackets will open the month of September with the home opener against Randolph College on Sept. 10. The remainder of the month will see Randolph-Macon on the road, starting a 12 match road trip at Muhlenberg College. The Lemon and Black will take on Hunter, William Patterson, Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest in the two day tournament style weekend in Pennsylvania on Sept. 12-13. The following week will see RMC at Averett and Guilford to restart conference play on Sept. 19-20. The Yellow Jackets will close out the month of September at Shenandoah on Sept. 24.

Randolph-Macon will start October with two more road matches at Hollins and Roanoke on Oct. 3-4. The long road trip will end with a three match week at Eastern Mennonite, Mary Washington and Christopher Newport. The Lemon and Black will be back in Crenshaw Gym on Oct. 17-18 for home matches with Washington and Lee and Bridgewater. The team will host their annual Alumni match against the Eagles on Oct. 18. The final home game of the season will be against Lynchburg for senior night and the teams SWARM match on Oct. 22. The month will conclude with a conference match at Virginia Wesleyan on Oct. 29. The Generals were in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament last season. Christopher Newport also made it to the NCAA tournament, making a trip in the third round.

The Yellow Jackets will conclude the final two weeks of the regular season in November on the road. Randolph-Macon will spend the weekend of Nov. 1 in New York City with matches against New York University and William Smith. The Herons and Violets both made the NCAA tournament last season. The regular season slate will conclude in Atlanta, Georgia at Emory University on Nov. 7-8. The team will take on Emory, Ithaca and Berry. All three teams made it to the NCAA tournament; Emory was a representative in the quarterfinal round last season, as Ithaca made a trip to the third round and Berry made it to the second round.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to be here as the new head coach and start my first season. This program has a proud tradition, and I can't wait to build on that legacy with our incredible student-athletes," Goodman added.
