ASHLAND, Va. - Head coach Brent Kintzer and Randolph-Macon swimming have announced the hiring of Paul Datovech as an assistant coach on staff. 

Datovech arrives at Randolph-Macon from Ashland, Virginia, and was on the swim team at Patrick Henry High School. Datovech went on to swim at the University of Mary Washington, where he competed in Backstroke, the Individual Medley, and Fly. After graduating, Datovech became the head coach of the Chestnut Oaks Recreation Association. During his time there, 24 new team records were set and five swimmers won events at the 2024 championship meet.

Datovech was named to the Dean's List in five different semesters at Mary Washington and the President's List in the fall of 2022 and the fall of 2024. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and minored in Sports Management.
