ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Lacrosse had three players represented on the All-State recognition by VaSID for the 2025 season.
Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was named as a first team attacker,
Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) and
Laila Omar (Annandale, Va./Falls Church) were both on the second teams for midfield and defense.
Fowler was selected to her first all-state team in her career at Randolph-Macon, following a stellar junior season. The Maryland native was lethal for the Yellow Jackets on the offensive end, leading the team in multiple statistical categories. She ended the season with 31 goals, 51 assists for 82 overall points. Her 51 assists not only led the team but put her in the top-20 in the entire country. The 82 points were also the eighth most points in the region that would include all players in the state of Virginia. The junior started in 17 of the 19 games she appeared in and the 51 assists was the fourth most assists in a single season in Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse history. This accolade adds to her first team all-conference and second team all-region nods she received at the conclusion of the season.
Mittelstadter got the nod as an all-state player for the second consecutive year in her career. The senior was named as a second team member last season and this season has been named as a first team midfielder. The Chesterfield native ended the year with 22 goals, 11 assists for 33 points in the midfield for the Yellow Jackets. She also was a big contributor in controlling draws for the Lemon and Black, collecting 34 draws to go along with 16 caused turnovers. This accolade is added to her first team all-conference nod and second team all-region honor she received at the conclusion of the season.
Omar concluded the list of honors for Randolph-Macon with a second team defender mention. The junior turned in an impressive season for the Yellow Jackets that included being ranked in the top-ten in the conference in caused turnovers (24) and ground balls (36). The Annandale native was a key player in the team's success and boosting the Lemon and Black's defense into the conference's elite group. Omar recorded seven games in which she forced multiple turnovers by the opposing team and had her best defensive game against the first game with Lynchburg in which she forced four turnovers. This accolade is added to her first team all-conference honor she received at the conclusion of the season.
