Bowles touched home after a throw to the infield following a single by senior Aaron Lautenschlager (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) to make it 5-0. Schmitt walked and scored on an error to push the advantage to 6-0.
  • Lautenschlager had a leadoff triple in the fourth and came in on a groundout by Harvey as the lead grew to 7-0.
  • After the Marlins tallied a run in the top of the sixth, the Yellow Jackets answered in the bottom of the frame. Sophomore Jon Quici (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) reached on a two-out error, went to third on a single by Baffone and scored when Fleming reached on an error. Baffone came home on a wild pitch to make it 9-1.
