BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Junior
Carter Schmitt (Glen Allen, Va./St. Christopher's) reached base twice in each game, including a home run in the nightcap, as the Randolph-Macon baseball team dropped an ODAC doubleheader at Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened:
- The Eagles scored twice in the first of the nightcap before the Yellow Jackets got on the scoreboard in the second. Sophomore Jon Quici (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) reached on a one-out error and came home on a double by sophomore James Baffone (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) to make it 2-1.
- An inning later, Schmitt had a one-out single, went to second on a base hit by senior Chaz Harvey (Charlottesville, Va./Miller School) and scored on a single by senior Aaron Lautenschlager (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) to level the score at 2-2.
- After BC scored four in the bottom of the third, RMC put up a crooked number in the fourth. Junior Logan Duff (Forest, Va./Liberty Christian) had a leadoff single and moved to third on a ground-rule double by Baffone. Junior Jordan Hill (Virginia Beach, Va./Granby) had a sacrifice fly to knock in Duff. Baffone came home on a base hit by sophomore Jack Bowles (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) to make it 6-4. With two away, Schmitt homered to tie the game at 6-6.
- The Eagles scored three in the fourth, five in the sixth and two in the seventh to end the game at 16-6.
