Ian Wagenhauser broke the program's career kills record in a twin bill against former CVC foes Rutgers-Newark and top-ranked Southern Virginia on Saturday.

How it Happened vs. Rutgers-Newark
- RMC took four of the first six points of the match but were answered with a 4-0 run by the Raiders to give them the lead. RMC trailed by one point at 8-7 before Rutgers extended their advantage out to 14-8, winning six of the next seven. The Yellow Jackets fought back to cut it to three, but once again, the Raiders used a 5-0 run to extend the lead back out. After RMC won two straight, the Raiders finished the set with back-to-back points to win the set, 25-18.
- Similar to the first set, RMC led 4-2 in the early stages before the Raiders used a 7-1 spurt to take a 9-5 lead. The two sides traded points over the middle stages of the set until RMC used a 3-0 run to tie the score at 15. Newark answered with a 4-0 run and led 23-19 before RMC cut it to one at 23-22. The Raiders took two of the next three points to win the second set, 25-23.
- For the third straight set, RMC opened up a lead to begin the frame, this time a 7-3 advantage. The Yellow Jackets held onto their lead with a 14-11 advantage before the Raiders tied it up with a 3-0 run. The Raiders took four of the next seven points to take a one-point lead and held that lead at 22-21 but won the final three points to earn the sweep with a 25-21 win in set three.
Inside the Numbers vs. Rutgers-Newark
- Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) led RMC with 13 kills. He also added three block assists.
- Phillip Van Essendelft (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) totaled six kills without an error as well as three block assists.
- Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) finished with 25 assists, one solo block, two block assists, and five digs.
- Owen Hahn (Henrico, Va./Tucker) led with four block assists and added four kills.
- RMC had nine blocks to just five for Rutgers-Newark.

- Ian Wagenhauser broke the program's career kills record with his 791st career kill. He recently broke the career points record as well.
How it Happened vs. Southern Virginia
- The two sides split the first 10 points of the first stanza. RMC sprung out to a 9-5 lead after winning four straight points, but a 7-0 run ensued for the Knights to five them a 12-9 lead. RMC kept the deficit within two before another big stretch of points by SVU gave them a 23-16 advantage, helping them take set one, 25-18.
- The second set was a back-and-forth affair with the two sides being locked at 13 midway through the frame. Five of the next six points went in favor of the Knights, which turned into a stretch of 10 of 14 points to give SVU a 23-17 lead. Despite winning five of the final seven points, RMC fell short in the second set, 25-22.
- RMC led 10-8 after the two teams traded points to open the third set. The tide turned in favor of SVU as they won 10 of the next 11 to surge out to an 18-11 lead. The Knights wouldn't let RMC get back into the set, as the closest RMC got was six points the rest of the way. The Knights took set three, 25-18.
Inside the Numbers vs. Southern Virginia
- Bryce Matthews (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) registered a team-high nine kills and had five digs.
- Mitchell Wyatt (Prince George, Va./Prince George) finished with five kills and no errors. He also had a solo block and a block assist.
- Brady Plucker (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) totaled six digs and three assists out of the libero position.
- Kody Rogan led the team with 23 assists and two solo blocks.
