All-America Release with Daniel Eliasek on Cover (Football)

Eliasek Named All-America First Team by AFCA

WACO, Texas. — Randolph-Macon senior linebacker Daniel Eliasek (Midlothian, Va./Trinity) was named to the 2025 AFCA Division III Coaches' All-America First Team as announced by the American Football Coaches Association.

Eliasek helped guide the Yellow Jackets to their seventh straight season with at least nine wins (excluding the 2020 covid season). The senior was also a huge player in Randolph-Macon winning its fourth straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference title this past season. The Lemon and Black captured its 16th ODAC championship, the most in conference history.   

He led a defense that ranked second in the nation in turnovers gained (31), fourth in defensive touchdowns (5), fifth in passes intercepted (20), 11th in rushing defense (67.3 yards per game), 13th in recovered fumbles (11) and 17th in scoring defense (14.5).  

During the regular season, Eliasek recorded 60 tackles to lead the team. He had three forced fumbles, three pass break-ups and three quarterback hurries. The senior also had an interception against Shenandoah this past season. The Midlothian native was named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week, following his ten tackle and interception performance against Shenandoah. He also ranked 26th in the country in forced fumbles. The senior was named the Lou Wacker Defensive Player of the Year in the ODAC. He also was AFCA All-America First Team, All-ODAC First Team and the Touchdown Club of Richmond State Linebacker of the Year.
