Football Ranked #21 in Final AFCA Poll

ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon football reached the postseason for the fourth straight season and finished #21 in the final American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll. 

The Yellow Jackets are No. 22 in the final D3football.com Top 25.

Randolph-Macon built on its recent success with another banner season in 2025. The Lemon and Black won its 16th ODAC championship, the most in conference history, meanwhile would extend their conference winning streak to 33 games. The Yellow Jackets were ranked 19th in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) and earned a bye in the first round of the NCAA Championship. RMC hit the road for the second round to play #9 John Carroll and the Blue Streaks would end up victorious. 

RMC ended the season with multiple accomplishments: 
  • Nine or more wins in the past seven full seasons.
  • Conference champions in seven of the last ten seasons. 
  • 12th straight wins over rival Hampden-Sydney.
  • Joins Bridgewater as the only team in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to win four straight titles since 2000.
Head coach Pedro Arruza has an overall record of 156-73 (.681) in his 22 years at RMC, including 100-43 (.699) in ODAC games. Over the past ten seasons, the Yellow Jackets are 91-17 (.843) overall and 61-6 (.910) in conference contests.
