ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon football, ranked #19 in the NCAA Power Index (NPI), will head to #10 John Carroll in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Football Championship on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 12 p.m. in University Heights, Ohio.

Both teams earned byes in the first round of the playoffs.

The Yellow Jackets went 9-1 during the regular season. RMC was 8-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.

The Blue Streaks were 9-1 this regular season, going 1-1 in non-conference play and went 8-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. John Carroll ultimately earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. JCU is located in University Heights, Ohio., near Cleveland. 

RMC is 1-0 all-time against JCU. The only meeting came in an NCAA Playoff game in 2018. The Yellow Jackets defeated John Carroll 23-20 to secure the program's first ever NCAA Tournament win.

RMC is participating in the NCAA Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. This will be the eighth appearance in the NCAA Championship for the Yellow Jackets and seventh under head coach Pedro Arruza. The Lemon and Black appeared in the national semifinals in the 2023 season.
