SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team traveled to Sweet Briar on Saturday, October 4, where 10 different Yellow Jackets scored in the 16-0 victory.

How it Happened
- RMC opened the scoring early, just three minutes in, when freshman Ella Boyce (Mount Airy, Md./South Carroll) found the back of the net. Just four minutes later, Jackie Wenzlik (Durham, N.C./Riverside) booted it past the keeper to double the Yellow Jackets' lead.
- The offense continued to roll as Ally Spangler (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt) recorded back-to-back goals, extending the lead to 4-0. Over the next 22 minutes, RMC added to the lead with goals from Wenzlik, Ally Quigley (Broadlands, Va./Briar Woods), Ariel Farmer (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) and Caity Campbell (Staunton, Va./Staunton).
- RMC capped off a dominant half when substitute Alexa Stohr (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) scored in the 39th minute on a pass from Quigley to tally the ninth and final goal of the first half.
- The momentum carried into the second half. In the 53rd minute, Boyce gave RMC its 10th goal of the afternoon. Natalie Moxey (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) joined the score sheet in the 66th minute, extending the lead to 11 goals. Shortly after, in the 74th minute, Stohr notched her second goal of the match.
- The Yellow Jackets added three more goals in the next 12 minutes on goals from Farmer, Anna Turk (Radford, Va./Radford) and Madison Blanchard (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox). In the 89th minute, Farmer completed the hat-trick for the 16th and final goal of the match.
Inside the Numbers
- The Yellow Jackets outshot the Vixens 51-4 overall and 35-3 on goal. This breaks the previous season high of 50 set against Averett.
- RMC had seven corner opportunities in the match, as Sweet Briar did not record one in 90 minutes.
- Wenzlik, Boyce, Spangler, Farmer and Stohr each recorded two or more goals.
- Farmer led the offense with six total points on three goals and three assists. She also recorded the first hat-trick of her career.
- Moxey, Quigley, Turk and Campbell each found the back of the net this afternoon. Quigley, Turk and Campbell recorded their first goal of the season.
- Quigley and Campbell recorded their first goal of their career.

- After today's performance, Spangler has reached 50 career points and matching her highest point season of 2024.
- Today's match is the largest margin of victory over Sweet Briar, breaking the previous high of 13 goals set in 1995.
