2026 Schedule Released for Diamond Jackets

ASHLAND, Va. – Ahead of the Kathryn W. Stephens this Sunday, the Randolph-Macon baseball program has announced its slate for the 2026 campaign.
 
The Yellow Jackets will have their first seven games of the 2026 season at home. RMC will welcome a 2025 NCAA Tournament team in Mount Union on Feb. 13-14 for a two-game set to begin the season. The following day, Dickinson will travel to Ashland for a doubleheader on Feb. 15. The Lemon and Black's opening homestand will conclude with three games against Messiah, a 2025 NCAA Super Regional team, which will take place Feb. 20-21.
 
RMC will begin ODAC play on Feb. 28 with a doubleheader against Washington and Lee. The Yellow Jackets then host Johnson & Wales for a two-game series March 3-4. After their first home games of March, RMC will travel to face Shenandoah for its second conference doubleheader on March 7. 
 
After playing four of its past six games on the road, Randolph-Macon baseball will return to Hugh Stephens Field at Estes Park to battle the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on March 10. The Yellow Jackets square off at North Carolina Wesleyan on March 12, before returning home for a conference doubleheader against Roanoke on March 14.
 
The Lemon and Black have nine of their next 11 games at home. They will host Virginia Wesleyan for their seventh ODAC game of the season on March 18, followed by Mary Washington on March 19. The Yellow Jackets then travel to Christopher Newport on March 21 for their last road game of the month. Lynchburg then comes to Ashland on March 24, in a battle of the two teams to represent the ODAC in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. RMC's last three games of month will be played at home, with the first coming against York on March 25 and a doubleheader against Eastern Mennonite on March 28.
 
The Yellow Jackets stay in conference as they head to Hampden-Sydney for an April Fool's Day game. They come back to Ashland to host Christopher Newport for their second matchup of the season on April 2, as well as a doubleheader against Bridgewater on April 4.
 
Virginia Wesleyan hosts the Yellow Jackets on April 7, before RMC hosts North Carolina Wesleyan on April 8. RMC has another 2025 NCAA Super Regional squad in Salisbury visit on April 11, before the Yellow Jackets face them again the following day in Salisbury on the 12th
 
RMC has four consecutive ODAC games, as Hampden-Sydney is welcomed to Hugh Stephens Field on April 15. The Yellow Jackets then go to Averett for a doubleheader on April 18 and continue to Lynchburg on April 21 to play the 2025 NCAA Super Regional team. RMC remains on the road for its game against Mary Washington on April 23, before hosting Guilford for its last conference doubleheader of the season on April 25. 
 
The Yellow Jackets go to Methodist on April 28 to finish their regular season in an Ashland Regional rematch game.
 
The first round of the ODAC Tournament will be held on the first weekend in May in best-of-three series on campus sites. The four survivors head to Tyson's the following weekend to crown the ODAC Champion with a double-elimination tourney.
 
Under Head Coach Ray Hedrick, the Yellow Jackets earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship and hosted a Regional for the first time in program history, earning the No. 2 seed in the Ashland Regional. RMC recorded its fifth ever 30-win season with a 31-17 record, after a 1-2 showing in the Regional. The Yellow Jackets had 33 wins in 2024, 32 in 2023, 38 in 2018 and 35 in 2016. Randolph-Macon finished as the runner-up in the ODAC Championship with a 15-7 conference mark and placed third in the Ashland Regional.
