How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon came out aggressively in the first half, sending five shots at Hollins goalkeeper T Shover, who stopped all five in the first 11 minutes. Alexa Stohr (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) opened the scoring on a penalty kick goal in the 13th minute. One minute later, Ally Spangler (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt) doubled the Yellow Jackets' lead, putting her squad up 2-0
- Spangler netted her second goal in the 22nd minute on an entry pass from Morgan Mesterhazy (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge). The Lemon and Black capped off the first half with their fourth goal, this time by Natalie Moxey (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) on an assist from Stohr.
- Coming out of halftime, Stohr and Moxey netted their second goals of the match in the 51st minute and 53rd minute, extending the Yellow Jackets' lead to 6-0.
- Over the next 11 minutes, RMC netted three more goals thanks to Spangler, Jackie Wenzlik (Durham, N.C./Riverside) and Caity Campbell (Staunton, Va./Staunton).
- Wenzlik grabbed her second goal of the match and the final goal of the afternoon for the Yellow Jackets on a pass from Reagan Patrick (Boise, Idaho/Kettle Run).
