BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team fell 3-0 in its first road match at Southern Virginia University since 2002.

How it Happened
- In the first six minutes of the match, Southern Virginia tested senior goalkeeper Erin Morris (Manchester, N.H./Bishop Guertin), who made two crucial saves to keep the game level. In the 19th minute, Southern Virginia was the team to strike first on an unassisted goal by Delin Peterson to gain a 1-0 lead.
- The Yellow Jackets surged offensively with five shots as they searched for an equalizer. However, the Knights swiftly counterattacked and doubled their lead in the 29th minute when Southern Virginia sent in a corner kick and Hailey Gadd finished the play.
- Coming out of halftime, Randolph-Macon put on the pressure with Madison Blanchard (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) and Alexa Stohr (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) testing the Knights' goalkeeper.
- In the 63rd minute, Peterson struck a second time, extending Southern Virginia's lead to three goals. The Knights' defense locked down the Yellow Jackets' attack for the final 20 minutes and maintained their 3-0 lead the rest of the match.
