– Randolph-Macon Men's Volleyball hit a season-best .294 in a sweep of Eastern to round up the 2025 Macon Invitational on Saturday.

How it Happened:
	- The two sides were split at 6-6 in the early stages of the first set before RMC took command of the set with a pair of 3-0 runs to take a 16-10 lead. Both teams traded points until it was 21-17. A kill by Bryce Matthews (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) helped fuel a 4-1 run that gave the Yellow Jackets a 25-18 set one win.
 
	- RMC jumped out to a 6-3 lead to begin the second frame, but a 3-0 run by Eastern knotted the score at six. RMC was able to grab the lead, but by a slim margin as Eastern kept it within four. The Yellow Jackets held a 20-16 advantage until they broke it open with five of the next seven points going their way to take set two, 25-18.
 
	- Eastern grabbed the lead early in the third set, 5-3 over the Jackets. The tide shifted in favor of Randolph-Macon when they took 11 of the next 14 points to take command of the frame, 14-8. The Eagles won five of the ensuing six points, but RMC responded with a 5-1 run of their own. Eastern cut the deficit to three at 22-19, but the comeback fell short, with RMC winning 25-20 and sweeping the match.
 
Inside the Numbers:
	- RMC hit .294 in the match, their best hitting percentage of the season.
 
	- Matthews totaled eight kills without an error, hitting .500 in the match. He also had an ace and a block assist.
 
	- Wesley Graves (Chester, Va./Thomas Dale) led the team with a career-best 10 kills. He also tallied one solo block.
 
	- Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) led the way with 26 assists while also finishing with eight digs and two block assists.
 
	- Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) totaled seven kills, one ace, one solo block, and one block assist.
 
	- Brady Plucker (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) had a team-high nine digs.
 
	- RMC had three solo blocks and 10 block assists in the match.
