ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon women's soccer saw five different players find the back of the net, as the Yellow Jackets tallied all six goals in the second half to get their first victory of the 2024 season over Gettysburg.

How it Happened
- In the first 45 minutes, Randolph-Macon played with a high pace and Gettysburg played more slow and methodical. The Yellow Jackets had the majority of possessions and had great looks to grab the lead. Alex Jurow kept the Bullets in the game with clutch saves and the score would be tied at 0-0 at halftime.
- The Yellow Jackets would break through in the 51st minute, as a Gettysburg turnover led Natalie Moxey (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) to lead Lauren Brokaw (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) with a pass into the box and Brokaw finished the rest with a goal.
- Soon after in the 56th minute, Lora Bertram (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) ran down a leading pass from the midfield and beat the out of position goalkeeper to bury the ball into the back of the net for a 2-0 Yellow Jacket lead.
- In the 69th minute, Hannah Lovinger (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) found the head of teammate Sammie Hoefs (New Market, Md./Linganore) on a corner kick and Hoefs beat the goalkeeper to bring the lead to 3-0 for Randolph-Macon.
- The Lemon and Black added three more tallies in the final twenty minutes with goals from Brokaw, Ariel Farmer (Chesterfield, Va./Clover Hill) and Ally Spangler (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt) to put a stamp on a second half offensive onslaught for a 6-0 victory.
- The defensive unit of Kelly Rogers (Crozet, Va./Western Albemarle), Abigail Pesut (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam), Grace Turney (Dayton, Md./River Hill) and Hollis Keenan (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) held the Bullets to three shots on fram in 90 minutes.
- Substitutes Anna Turk (Radford, Va./Radford), Maddie Stubblefield (Mechanicsville, Va./Mechanicsville) and Thalia Outhuok (Falls Church, Va./Justice) all played integral parts in the success of the victory for Randolph-Macon.
