ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Randolph-Macon women's soccer used two early goals to hand St. Mary's (Md.) their first loss of the season and give the Yellow Jackets their first win on the road in the 2024 season.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon set the tone early with a ninth minute unassisted goal by Lora Bertram (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) to take an early 1-0 lead.
- The Yellow Jackets doubled its lead soon after in the 16th minute, as Lauren Brokaw (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) scored another unassisted goal to take control of the match.
- The Lemon and Black defensive back line of Kelly Rogers (Crozet, Va./Western Albemarle), Abigail Pesut (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) and Grace Turney (Dayton, Md./River Hill) only allowed the Seahawks to one shot on target to finish the first half with a 2-0 lead.
- In the 64th minute, St. Mary's (Md.) found the back of the net with a goal by Allie Petryszak to cut the Yellow Jacket lead in half with about 25 minutes remaining.
- Randolph-Macon would hold in for the final moments of the match to take home a 2-1 victory on the road.
