GREENSBORO, N.C. - RMC had three players score hat tricks in a dominant road win over Guildford on Saturday evening.

How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets got out to a hot start as senior Ryan Pritchard (Crofton, Md./DeMatha) and sophomore Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) each scored in the first minute of play. After Guilford scored a goal of their own to cut the lead to one, RMC would score three unanswered and take a 5-1 advantage into the second period of play.
- The Lemon and Black would continue their run in the second period as Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) and Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha Catholic) each scored their second goal of the game. After two quick Guilford goals, it looked as though the hosts were building momentum, but a 3-1 run and a last second goal by Sinsebox gave the Yellow Jackets a 10-4 lead heading into the halftime break.
- The Yellow Jackets wouldn't let off the gas after the break in play. Smith would net two more goals to make it a hat trick for him and give RMC an eight-goal advantage. The Yellow Jackets would end the period by adding four more to the scoreboard, two of them coming from Sinsebox to complete his hat trick. RMC would take a 16-6 lead into the final 15 minutes of play.
- The final frame of play would be dominated by the visitors as the Yellow Jackets would score six goals and shut out the Quakers in the period. Freshman Ryan Salazar (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) and senior Connor Cadigan (Phoenix, Md./Boys Latin School) each scored their second goal making it seven RMC players with multiple goals. Meanwhile, Tankersley would score his second goal making him the third Yellow Jacket with a hat trick. RMC will take a dominant 22-6 win back to Ashland.
By the Numbers
- RMC outshot Guilford 56-23. The Yellow Jackets were also 23-25 on clear attempts.
- Smith had eight points with four points and four assists.
- Sinsebox and Tankersley each recorded hat tricks, scoring four and three goals respectively.
