– Randolph-Macon men's volleyball totaled 15 blocks in a dominating three-set sweep over Arcadia on Friday.

How it Happened:
- RMC jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the first set. The lead remained close for a majority of the frame until a 4-0 run by the Yellow Jackets allowed them to open the score up to 20-12. The RMC was able to fend off Arcadia to take set one 25-16. For the entirety of the set, Arcadia never had a run of more than two points.
- Arcadia got on a roll to begin the second, leading 9-7 before RMC went on a 3-0 run to take the lead. Arcadia answered with their own 3-0 run but then the Yellow Jackets returned the favor with a 10-1 run that would blow the lead open. Arcadia trailed by six at 22-16 before a 5-0 run brought the deficit back to one point. RMC was able to win three of the final five points to win set two.
- After a back-and-forth beginning to the third set, RMC ran away with it after an 8-0 run gave them a 21-9 lead that was too much to overcome for Arcadia. RMC traded points with Arcadia until winning the final point and earning the sweep with a 25-12 set win.
Inside the Numbers:
- RMC hit a staggering .420 in the match. It marks the highest hitting percentage in a match in program history.
- The Yellow Jackets had 15 blocks, which is the most in a match this season.
- Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) finished with 17 assists and six kills. He hit .600 in the match.
- Phillip Van Essendelft (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) led the team with eight kills. He did not have an error as he hit .667. He also had two solo blocks and six block assists.
- Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) hit .462 with seven kills. He also had two solo blocks and five block assists.

- RMC will be back in action tomorrow for a tri-match where they will play Eastern and Widener in St. Davids, Pa.
