Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) each net two goals, as the Yellow Jackets suffer their first defeat of the season.

How it Happened
- In the first period, it would be the Tigers to open the scoring within the first minute of play. Two minutes later, Sinsebox would bring the game back level. HSC would respond with two goals and looked to take a lead into the first break of play, but goals in the final minute from JT Harvey (Ruther Glen, Va./Riverbend) and Tankersley would see the game start over at 3-3 going into the second period.
- Goals would continue to come from both sides, but it would be the Tigers who would jump out to a 6-4 lead with a goal from Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) to keep it close. An acrobatic goal by Sinsebox would electrify the RMC bench and crowd and help fuel a late first half surge. Goals from Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) and Tankersley would cap off a 3-0 Yellow Jackets run and take a 7-to-6 lead into the halftime break.
- The visitors would come out firing on all cylinders. The Tigers would score four unanswered goals during the third period, shutting out the Yellow Jackets. RMC found themselves down 10-7 going into the final frame, looking for a big response.
- The only goal of the period would be scored by HSC. Time would run out for the Yellow Jackets, suffering their first defeat of the season, 11-7.
By The Numbers
- The Yellow Jackets had five players on the score sheet. Sinsebox and Tankersley both scored two, while Harvey, Payne, and Allen each netted one.
- Senior Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha Catholic) had a team-high two assists.
- The Yellow Jackets outshot the Tigers 42-to-25.
- Freshman Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) recorded a game-high eight ground balls.
- Junior Cooper Hauser (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) led the team in caused turnovers with four. The Yellow Jackets recorded 15 as a team.
