– Randolph-Macon men's volleyball fell to the hands of Marymount in a CVC contest in Crenshaw Gym on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
- The Saints came out firing, jumping out to a 4-1 run but RMC went on a 4-1 run of their own to tie the score at five. Neither team could pull away as the score never got wider than three for the remainder of the set. Marymount held a 19-17 advantage but RMC sparked a 6-2 run to take a 23-21 lead. The Saints used a 3-0 run to get to set point, but RMC held them off. The Saints eventually won the final two points of the set to take the opening frame 27-25.
- Marymount opened the second set with a 3-2 lead before RMC went on a 4-0 run to take momentum. MU responded with a 5-0 run that would give them an 8-6 lead, forcing an RMC timeout. A couple blocks at the net helped the Saints grow their lead to five at 14-9. RMC clawed back to cut it to three before Marymount pushed it back out to seven at 21-14. The Saints were able to close out the set to keep momentum on their side with a 2-0 set advantage.
- For the third straight set, Marymount opened the frame with the lead, this time an 8-5 advantage. As RMC tried to mount a comeback, the Saints continued to keep their lead, taking a 15-11 lead into the media timeout. The Yellow Jackets forced a timeout by the Saints after cutting the lead down to three at 19-16. Marymount extended the lead back out before RMC cut the lead to four once again at 24-20 but the Saints closed it out to earn the sweep on the road.
Inside the Numbers:
- Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) was the lone RMC player with double digit kills with 11 on the night. He also had two solo blocks and five digs.
- Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) totaled six kills and 13 assists. He also finished with three aces and six digs.
- Brady Plucker (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) led the team with 13 digs while also having three assists.
- RMC had 31 digs to Marymount's 20.
